Distinguished Graduate Paper Award 

Call for Papers: The Hawaiʻi Sociological Association is pleased to announce that the Distinguished Graduate Paper Award will be presented at the 2023 annual meeting of the Hawaiʻi Sociological Association. The Distinguished Graduate Paper Award recognizes a graduate student who has produced a research paper that is of high professional quality.  

Eligibility: To be eligible for the award, the paper must (a) demonstrate a high level of scholarship in the field of sociology (or a field closely related to sociology), (b) be written by a graduate student, (c) have been written or substantially revised within the last year, (d) be eligible to be presented at the upcoming HSA meeting, and (e) be unpublished.

Award: The winning student will receive $100.

Call for Papers: The Hawaiʻi Sociological Association is pleased to announce that the Distinguished Undergraduate Paper Award will be presented at the 2023 annual meeting of the Hawaiʻi Sociological Association. The Distinguished Undergraduate Paper Award recognizes an undergraduate student who has produced a research paper that is of high professional quality.

Nominations

To nominate a paper for the award please submit a copy of the completed paper (with an abstract) to the Hawaiʻi Sociological Association via email (hawaiisociologicalassociation@gmail.com). 
Hard copies will not be accepted.


Deadline 

The deadline for nominations is December 15, 2022.
